How to install an outdoor sensor: To receive true temperature values, avoid installing the sensor directly in the sun. We recommend that the remote sensor be mounted on an outdoor north facing wall. The electronic part of the outdoor sensor has a moisture-proof synthetic resin that protects the circuit. But the sensor is not waterproof, so avoid direct rain
